Job summary

Neighborcare Health in Seattle seeks a Patient Services Representative to greet patients, check in for medical and dental visits, and schedule appointments through checkout.

As the first point of contact, you will provide a warm welcome, collect updated information for the EHR, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and connect patients with insurance eligibility services while supporting care coordination efforts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet patients and their families as they arrive in the clinic.
• Answers telephones, confirms appointments, and transfers calls as needed.
• Check in patients and collect updated information for the EHR.
• Maintain front-desk areas, preparing charts and accounts daily.
• Check insurance eligibility and scan insurance cards.
• Collect co-pays and close out cash drawer at day end.
• Explain sliding scale policy to self-pay patients and enter income data.
• Schedule same-day and walk-in appointments.
• Direct patients to insurance eligibility services when needed.
