Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Service Associate to lead front desk and office functions within Central Registration/LD/Lab specimen/Rad. Responsibilities include check-in/out, registration, scheduling, and record retrieval, plus training new PSA hires and rolling out process improvements.

The role may involve supporting physician templates and schedules in the manager's absence. The candidate should have a BA/BS and at least 1 year of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science required; 1+ year healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in front desk duties: check-in/check-out, registration, scheduling, and records retrieval.
• Ability to train new PSA hires and lead front office on process improvements.

Responsibilities

• PSA duties – check in / check out, patient registration, appointment scheduling, and record retrieval.
• Train new PSA hires and front office on new process improvement roll-outs in the practice.
• Attend scheduling meetings remotely and update FSC/PSA on Epic APM processes.
• Assist with overseeing Point-of-Service cash collection and educate patients with materials.
