Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Services Associate to support patient-focused care in Admissions. The PSA handles arrival/departure, screens calls, schedules appointments, updates insurance, and processes front-end procedures in the EMR.

The role may operate in a physician practice or call center, with rotation across PSA functions. Requirements include high school diploma and 2+ years in medical offices or 4 years customer service; associates degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications

HS Diploma/GED required.
2+ years medical office experience, or 4 years of customer service experience.
Associate degree or equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of experience.
Advanced degree may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

Arrive/departure activities for patients; manage calls and inquiries; schedule appointments.
Update patient insurance/billing information; perform front-end POS activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state/local regulatory standards; assist in patient flow.
