Job summary

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Customer Service Representative in Indianapolis. You will be the first contact for patients, caregivers, referrals, and commercial accounts, handling inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues with courtesy and accuracy.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, billing coordination, and maintaining patient documentation. Strong communication and office skills are essential; previous Medicare/Medicaid billing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Clerical or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Proficient general office skills (typing, filing, phones).
• Neat appearance with good interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills with ability to make independent decisions.
• Medicare/Medicaid and insurance billing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries from patients, caregivers, referral sources, and commercial accounts.
• Verify insurance and collect payments where applicable.
• Process orders and documentation accurately and timely.
• Input orders into the computer system and coordinate delivery/pickup.
• Answer phones with professional greeting and route calls appropriately.
• Greet visitors and direct to relevant staff.
• Assist in preparing and filing patient charts and records.
• Maintain patient files and ensure current information at all times.
• Assist with reports for quality assurance.
