Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Patient Service Representative to manage patient check-in, verify insurance information, and support front-desk operations. The role involves handling a multi-line phone system, updating patient records in the EMR, and processing co-pays and payments.

You will work in a fast-paced dermatology clinic with a 35-hour weekly schedule, starting as early as 7:00 AM and completing by 4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and strong computer skills preferred.
• 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions and able to type 40 wpm or faster.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
• Performs opening and closing clinic duties and prepares for next day.
• Scans documents into the electronic health record (EMR).
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and responds to designated tasks in the EMR.
• Orders clinic office supplies and handles mail distribution.
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
