Job summary

You will handle multi-line calls, assist with referrals, and support daily administrative tasks with HIPAA compliance. A high school diploma and 6 months to 1 year of related experience are expected, along with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience.
• State-specific occupational medicine knowledge preferred.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to protect confidential information (HIPAA/PHI).
• Proficient with MS Office and data entry into systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors.
• Communicate wait times and direct patients.
• Obtain authorizations to process services as needed.
• Check in patients using the management system.
• Explain forms and ensure proper completion.
• Answer calls and route inquiries.
• Schedule, remind, reschedule, or cancel appointments.
• Check out patients and distribute records.
• File records and correspondence.
• Maintain office supplies inventory.
• Disseminate paperwork to external parties.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
• Attend staff meetings and training.
• Process patient referrals and educate patients.
• Support Center Operations Director with duties.
• Keep facility neat and orderly.
• Use reporting tools for employer results and paperwork.
• Review clinician transcriptions and enter charges.
