Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clerical or administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with office software (Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families, respond promptly and compassionately to questions or requests.
• Perform front-desk tasks including visit preparation, co-pay collection and patient tracking.
• Schedule patient visits or diagnostic testing according to hospital procedures.
• Manage third-party payors and collect co-pays as needed.
• Handle routine clerical tasks such as faxing, copying, filing and messages.
• Maintain front desk inventory and communicate needs to staff.
• Support smooth department operations by prioritizing workloads and deadlines.
• Ensure waiting area and work space remain clean and organized.
• Assist with cross-coverage and ensure HIPAA compliance.
