Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to join our day shift team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, welcoming visitors with professionalism and guiding them through check-in, insurance verification, and scheduling.

You will support billing processes, respond to inquiries, and coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth, patient-centered experience across our Southeast Michigan offices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in medical or customer service preferred.
• No licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Check patients in and verify registration and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Partner with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
