Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, checking in and verifying registration and insurance, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and routing messages to the right team.

You will collect payments, support billing, assist with patient communications and MyChart, and maintain accurate records while partnering with providers and clinical staff to deliver a smooth, welcoming experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1–2 years in medical/office or customer service preferred.
• Course work in insurance/billing or medical practice education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
• Check patients in and verify registration and insurance information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Partner with providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
