UC San Diego Health is seeking a Front Desk/Call Center Specialist to deliver patient-centered service, register patients, schedule appointments and verify insurance in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Under supervision, you will support data entry in EPIC, relay medical messages to staff and secure authorizations for outpatient services while guiding patients through deposit requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years of customer service experience.
• Experience with registration, appointment scheduling & insurance verification.
• Knowledge of third-party payors including federal, state and private health plans.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to work across multiple systems during calls.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced interactive environment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proven problem-solving ability to assist customers and manage expectations.

Responsabilités

• Answer multi-line calls and handle customer registration.
• Verify insurance eligibility for outpatient services.
• Input information in EPIC and relay messages to staff.
