Carolinas Medical Center is seeking a full-time Registration Clerk for the 02040 ABHC Dewey Behavioral Health Addict Services department. You will create the initial electronic health record, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and ensure HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced team.

Greet patients, check in, schedule appointments, discuss billing, and coordinate with Financial Advocates as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Aufgaben

• Create the initial electronic health record for new patients to anchor the medical record.
• Check in and register patients; verify demographics, guarantor, and insurance information.
• Discuss and collect co-pays and other patient responsibilities; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate cancellations or recalls; provide patient guidance and directions.
• Respond to patient inquiries with excellent customer service and professional demeanor.
• Support department leadership with orientation and training as needed.
