Job summary

CAROLINAS MEDICAL CENTER is seeking a part-time Revenue Cycle Clerk in Lake Norman NC Arrival to support patient registration and billing processes. You will create the initial patient record, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co-pays for timely payment while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record for patient care team and prevent duplicates.
• Check in and register patients; verify demographics, guarantor and insurance; collect co-pays.
• Discuss insurance basics and discuss financial responsibility with patients; refer to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate cancellations, recalls, and test preparations; provide directions and information.
