Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in clerical or administrative duties in an office setting is preferred.
• Healthcare experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains positive relationships with patients and families with prompt, caring responses.
• Performs point-of-service activities such as visit prep, co-pay collection and patient tracking under supervision.
• Schedules patient visits or diagnostic testing per hospital procedures.
• Manages third-party payors and collection of co-pays.
• Handles routine office duties: faxing, copying, filing, mailings, and message distribution.
• Ensures front desk inventory is maintained and communicates needs to staff.
• Supports smooth office operation by prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines.
• Maintains department appearance and waiting room cleanliness as needed.
• Participates in clerical and administrative cross-coverage as required.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance is followed.
• Performs other duties as required.
