Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Part Time Patient Service Representative to deliver a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services. You will greet patients, handle co-pays, schedule visits, and help ensure a positive patient experience.

Key duties include maintaining front desk operations, managing communications, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while supporting office tasks and cross-coverage as needed.

Formación

• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Experience with a computerized scheduling system is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to perform basic math for processing co-pays.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and families and respond promptly and caringly to questions and requests.
• Perform at-patient visit duties including co-pay collection and patient tracking.
• Schedule visits or diagnostic testing using hospital procedures.
• Manage third-party payors and co-pay collections.
• Maintain front desk inventory and support office duties.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and overall department appearance.
• Provide cross coverage as needed and participate in teams.
