Mercyhealth in Crystal Lake is seeking a clerical and registration staff member to assist with phone calls, visitor check-in, appointment scheduling, and MyChart support. You will ensure accurate patient information in Epic, handle payments, and protect privacy while keeping the clinic running smoothly.

The role involves greeting visitors, processing co-pays, posting payments, and performing cashiering within Epic, with daily closing and error correction.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Epic preferred.
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime during peak hours.

Responsabilidades

• Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel and routes Epic Messages to nursing and provider as appropriate.
• Registers patients in Epic during check-in and manages appointment scheduling.
• Collects co-payments and other self-pay obligations when required and posts in Epic during registration.
• Assists patients with MyChart signup and activation; replies to MyChart messages in a timely manner.
• Reviews daily work queues and corrects identified patient registration errors.
