Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a front desk receptionist to manage calls, greet visitors, and support registration and scheduling in Epic. You will verify patient demographics, insurance details, and handle payments with accuracy and privacy in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous medical reception or reception experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls, directs to appropriate personnel and routes Epic Messages.
• Manages mail, faxes, and supplies; maintains reception area.
• Registers patients in Epic, verifications and updates demographics and insurance.
• Collects co-pays and processes payments per policy; closes daily cash drawer.
