Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC seeks a Patient Services Coordinator II to deliver exceptional patient-centered service and support IBJI teams. You will register patients accurately, optimize scheduling, mentor new staff, and escalate issues to ensure a smooth patient experience and strong team performance.

The role requires at least three years in customer service (medical office preferred) and one year in patient services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred, healthcare concentration a plus.
• Minimum three years in a customer service role; medical office experience is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year in a patient services related role; Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with high-quality service.
• Prepare paperwork to support efficient operations.
• Answer general inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Handle phone reception, triage, and escalation as needed.
• Perform registration/pre-registration and review demographics & insurance.
• Check in/out procedures and patient chart management.
• Handle patient payments and insurance verification.
• Assist in training staff and mentoring new employees.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other office duties as assigned.
