Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator II in Arlington Heights to deliver exceptional patient-centered service. You will manage registration, scheduling, and patient-financial interactions while supporting IBJI teams across locations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associates preferred), and a minimum of several years in customer service with healthcare exposure; Epic experience is a plus and a professional, helpful demeanor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates preferred.
• Experience with Epic EHR and healthcare scheduling is a plus.
• Strong communication and professional presentation expected.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with high quality customer service.
• Handle scheduling requests, collect balances, and explain insurance benefits.
• Provide daily support to management and staff as needed.
• Manage heavy phone reception, scanning, emailing and other clerical duties.
• Prepare paperwork to facilitate efficient operation and service.
• Answer general inquiries and perform appointment scheduling.
• Register/pre-register patients and verify demographics and insurance.
• Check in/out and manage patient charts; collect payments as needed.
• Verify insurance and handle referrals as required.
• Train and mentor new staff; maintain a clean, safe work area.
