Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator II to deliver exceptional patient-focused service. You will manage registrations, scheduling, insurance verification, and payments while supporting IBJI teams to ensure a smooth experience for patients and families.

Required are 3+ years in customer service, preferably medical office experience, with Epic EHR familiarity and solid Microsoft Office skills. A flexible, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred in a medical setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with flexibility to adapt scheduling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with excellent service.
• Handle appointment scheduling and general inquiries.
• Phone reception, triage, and escalation to staff as needed.
• Complete registration and patient documentation accurately.
• Verify insurance details and collect patient balances.
• Train and mentor new staff and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Assist with other office duties as assigned.
