Illinois Bone & Joint Institute in Park Ridge, IL, is hiring a Patient Services Coordinator II to deliver exceptional front desk service in a fast-paced orthopedic setting. You will handle registration, scheduling, and patient inquiries to ensure a smooth visit for every patient.

Requirements include a high school diploma (associates preferred), 3+ years in customer service (medical office a plus), and Epic experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred (healthcare concentration field a plus).
• Minimum three years experience in customer service role; medical office experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in patient services related role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows applications; Epic experience preferred.
• Insurance payer and eligibility knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with high-quality service.
• Prepare paperwork for efficient operation and service.
• Answer general inquiries.
• Appointment scheduling and phone reception.
• Patient triage and escalation to staff.
• Registration/pre-registration including demographics and insurance.
• Check in/out procedures and patient chart management.
• Collect/posting of patient responsibility payments (copays/deductibles).
• Insurance verification and referral management as required.
• Train and mentor new staff within department.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Other office duties as assigned.
