MercyOne Medical Group is seeking a Receptionist to greet patients and visitors at the front desk, manage appointments, and handle phone calls in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The role requires data entry into the EHR, insurance validation, and collection of copays and past-due balances at the time of service. Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism are essential for patient-centered care.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information.
• Must possess a personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring to promote the organization's mission and values.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors at the clinic front desk.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including patient flow and scheduling appointments.
• Validate insurance eligibility and enter demographics and insurance data into the EHR.
• Collect time of service payments and/or past due balances at appointment time.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Copy/scan patient-related materials into the EHR and systems.
