MercyOne Health System clinic seeks a Clinic Receptionist who greets patients and visitors with a professional, courteous demeanor and efficiently manages front-desk duties to support smooth patient flow.

You will schedule appointments, handle calls, verify insurance eligibility, collect copays or balances, and enter demographics and insurance data into the EHR and related systems. A high school diploma and strong communication are required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information.

Aufgaben

• Check-in patients and manage admitting process efficiently and in compliance with policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collect copays and deductible amounts.
• Copy/scan patient access materials into the electronic medical record.
