Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC seeks a friendly Patient Services Coordinator I to join our Westmont team. You will deliver top-tier customer service, manage registrations and appointments, verify insurance, and support providers with a professional, efficient front desk operation.

Ideal candidates have a year of customer service experience in a medical setting, familiarity with Epic EHR, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum one year experience in customer service role (medical office preferred)
• EHR experience (Epic preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
• Insurance payer and eligibility knowledge
• Must be a team player
• Flexible schedule and fast-paced environment
• Neat, professional appearance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Results oriented with attention to process
• Willingness to attend ongoing training to maintain responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors with exceptional customer service
• Prepare paperwork to support efficient operations and service
• Answer general inquiries
• Schedule appointments
• Handle phone reception, triage, and escalation
• Review demographics, insurance and documents during registration
• Check in/out procedures and patient chart management
• Handle collection of copays/deductibles and posting
• Verify insurance and referrals as required
• Maintain clean, safe work environment
• Perform other office duties as assigned
