Job summary

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center located at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, 3400 Spruce St. The Patient Services Associate (PSA) role supports patient flow, appointment coordination, and billing/information updates to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

The PSA works across practice/department settings, potentially in a call center, to improve the patient experience while meeting operational targets and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED is required.
• 2+ years of medical office experience or 4 years of customer service experience are required.
• Advanced degrees may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient arrival/departure and perform point-of-service activities.
• Communicate with patients, schedule appointments, collect copays and verify insurance, update EMR records.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and support efficient office operations.
