Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and their families as they arrive.
• Answer phones, confirm appointments, and transfer calls.
• Check in patients and collect updated contact/insurance data for the EHR.
• Maintain provider templates and appointment schedules.
• Keep front-desk areas organized and files up to date.
• Prepare charts and accounts daily as applicable.
• Check insurance eligibility and scan insurance cards.
• Collect co-pays and close out the drawer at day end.
• Provide registration forms to new or returning patients.
• Schedule walk-in patients for same-day appointments.
• Connect patients with insurance eligibility services.
• Explain sliding scale policy for self-pay patients.
