Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support a multi-specialty clinic. This full-time day shift role handles patient check-in, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling in Tinley Park, IL, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting co-pays, updating records, answering calls, coordinating tests, and maintaining chart accuracy while upholding patient confidentiality and service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years' experience in a customer service role.
• Preferred: 1–3 years in a physician office environment.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and registers them, verifies insurance information, and collects co-pays and balances.
• Updates patient demographic and company information for all patients.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Serves as liaison between patient and practice.
• Provides back-up for scheduling appointments.
• Ensures patient safety and confidentiality in all daily tasks.
• Performs daily reconciliation to ensure charges are entered correctly.
• Pulls charts and readies them for next-day appointments; files charts daily.
