Northwestern Medicine in McHenry is seeking a Patient Services Representative for a full-time position in the Multispecialty suite. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with no weekend shifts.

Primary duties include patient registration, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and coordinating appointments. You will provide high-quality customer service, handle calls and records with confidentiality, and support daily office operations to enhance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–2 years of customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years prior physician office experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, registers them, verifies insurance information, and collects co-pays and balances.
• Updates patient demographic information and company information.
• Answers phones and schedules appointments.
• Directs and documents patient calls as appropriate.
• Coordinates scheduling of outside testing for patients.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and safety in daily work.
