Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to enhance the patient experience by processing arrivals and departures, obtaining pre-certifications, and verifying demographics and insurance. You will help maintain an efficient flow of patients to examination rooms and support careful HIPAA compliance.

The role involves greeting patients, coordinating with staff, and handling check-in/out, with emphasis on courteous service and accuracy in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service or patient facing healthcare experience is preferred.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coworkers and visitors in line with values.
• Processes check in/check out and scheduling via EPIC.
• Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates concerns as needed.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors professionally, in person or on the phone.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
