Job summary

Jefferson University Physicians is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to enhance the patient and visitor experience by handling arrival/departure activities and verifying demographics, insurance, and referrals. The role supports prompt and courteous care and efficient patient flow within the practice/department.

Responsibilities include scheduling, handling pre-certifications, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and addressing patient concerns while delivering the Jefferson Experience with

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patients/visitors and support a positive Jefferson Experience.
• Ability to process and interpret data and multitask in a time-sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Process check in and/or check out, scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtain pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of practice and escalate patient/provider concerns as appropriate.
• Greet and interact with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and comply with regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
