Job summary

Jefferson Health’s PSA II role focuses on courteous patient processing, arrival/departure handling, and verifying insurance and demographics. You will obtain pre-certifications and authorizations, support efficient patient flow, and uphold the Jefferson Experience with professional, compliant service.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, coordinating check-in/check-out, and addressing patient or provider concerns while adhering to privacy and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must communicate courteously with patients/visitors and support a positive Jefferson Experience.
• Ability to process and interpret data and manage a time-sensitive workload.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coworkers and visitors following Jefferson values.
• Processes check-in/out and schedules patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre-certifications and/or pre-authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates concerns as needed.
• Greets patients/visitors professionally in person or on the phone.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and regulatory standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
