Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Patient Services Associate I to enhance the patient experience by courteously processing arrival and departure activities in our outpatient practice. The PSA I primarily works at the front desk, verifies insurance, referrals and demographics to support smooth visits.

You will greet patients, handle check-in/out via EPIC, schedule appointments, and escalate concerns while upholding HIPAA privacy and security standards.

Qualifications

• Must communicate courteously with patients and visitors.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Processes check in and/or check out, scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements and regulatory standards.
• Other duties as requested or assigned.
