Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Patient Services Associate II to support two office locations in Pennsylvania. The role requires handling arrival/departure activities and obtaining pre-certifications/pre-authorizations for procedures, while verifying insurance and patient demographics.

The PSA II will assist in maintaining an efficient patient flow and delivering the Jefferson Experience with courteous, professional interactions in person or by phone.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors.
• Ability to multi task while managing a time sensitive workload.
• Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Processes check in and/or check out, point of service activities and/or scheduling of patient appointments via EPIC.
• Obtains pre certifications and/or pre authorizations for procedures.
• Maintains efficient flow of practice and escalates patient and/or provider concerns as appropriate.
• G greets and interacts with patients/visitors in a professional manner, on phone or in person.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
