Job summary

MidLantic Urology is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to provide exceptional front-desk and phone-based patient service. You will register patients, collect payments, verify insurance, and coordinate appointments to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and attention to detail in a medical office setting. Prior experience in urology or healthcare is preferred, with emphasis on patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of customer service experience in a medical office preferred.
• Basic knowledge of CPT coding and ICD-10 is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phone inquiries and greet patients and visitors.
• Register new patients and update demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow through intake and checkout.
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances; verify insurance information.
• Maintain front desk area and ensure PHI in secure, compliant handling.
