Job summary

Ankle & Foot Centers of America is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support clinic operations and patient services. The role handles front desk duties, appointment scheduling, payment processing and phone support in a fast-paced medical office.

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years in healthcare. Travel to Gainesville may be required, and the position is non-exempt with part-time hours on Tue 8-4 and Thu 8-5.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to four years of experience in the health care industry preferred.
• Must be willing to travel to Gainesville on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a smile.
• Enter and update patient demographics accurately.
• Complete insurance verifications for patients.
• Demonstrate excellent communication by phone and in person.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage referrals.
• Check patients in and out professionally and timely.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles and balances at check-in.
