Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a front desk patient services specialist to provide outstanding service, greet and register patients, answer calls, and coordinate appointments across multiple Connecticut locations.

This role requires strong computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to travel to satellite offices as needed. Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office and Epic software is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills; solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to travel independently to satellite offices.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding patient service to ensure efficiency and promote a positive patient experience.
• Warmly greet and register arriving patients.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, evaluate priority and direct calls accordingly.
• Schedule new patient appointments accurately and inform patients of essential preparation requirements.
• Review daily Televox report of appointment confirmations to ensure accurate scheduling.
• Collect co-payments and office charges and explain billing policies to patients.
• Maintain a clean waiting room and a welcoming environment throughout the day.
• Travel to satellite offices to cover callouts and vacation requests.
