Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Patient Service Coordinator to greet patients, register them, and maintain records to ensure a positive patient experience. The role schedules appointments, handles inquiries, and coordinates between patients and healthcare providers in a fast-paced office environment.

Ideal candidates bring experience in a medical office, strong knowledge of insurance, and proficiency with Epic and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in a fast-paced medical office highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in other languages highly desirable.
• Strong computer skills. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Basic working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to travel independently to regional Urology offices with or without advanced notice.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and register them, maintaining records and accounts.
• Ensure a positive patient experience by facilitating communication between patients and providers.
• Schedule appointments to provide timely, accurate, friendly access.
• Respond to incoming correspondence from patients, caregivers, and providers.
• Uphold patient privacy and safety standards in all interactions.
