Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• Previous PSR experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have the ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of medical office terminology preferred.
• Basic proficiency in computer use required.
• Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, patients, and families professionally and direct them appropriately.
• Maintain efficient patient flow through registration and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer phones promptly and direct calls; take accurate messages.
• Inform patients of delays and support patient comfort during delays.
• Update patient information and PCP details in the EHR.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily payments.
• Scan insurance cards and perform insurance verifications in the online system.
