Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of medical billing experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of HCFA 1500, CPT and ICD-9 codes.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients and directs them to the appropriate department.
• Schedules appointments and documents accounts accurately.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance coverage.
• Collects copays and payments; records them in the system.
• Follows up on referrals and authorizations to avoid care delays.
• Maintains organization and accuracy in EMR documentation.
