Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience in a medical billing practice and medical terminology (HCFA 1500, CPT and ICD 9 codes) preferred
• Current CPR Certificate

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and direct them to the appropriate department or examination room.
• Manage scheduling, billing, and accurate entry of patient demographics.
• Verify insurance coverage and collect monies due.
• Enter charges, reconcile accounts, and document transactions.
• Follow up on referrals, authorizations, and precertifications.
• Maintain accurate daily operating reports and ensure proper documentation.
