Job summary

US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities at Texas Urology Specialists in Arlington seeks a Scheduler to manage patient appointments and tests at Arlington and Fort Worth Clearfork locations. This full-time role is Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Under supervision, you will answer calls, coordinate with clinicians, handle referrals and authorizations, collect co-pays, and maintain scheduling templates while protecting patient confidentiality and complying

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-3 years' experience preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, scheduling, and/or authorization experience preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls; assesses callers' needs and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new patients, patient referrals and returning patients in computer system per physician/office guidelines.
• Obtains and enters all insurance authorization, and correspondence relating to referrals in EMR.
• Collects co-pays, deductible and other out-of-pocket amounts at time of visit.
• Maintains primary office scheduling template containing physician meetings and satellite schedule.
