Job summary

The US Oncology Network seeks a Scheduler to join Texas Urology Specialists in Arlington/Fort Worth. This full-time role supports scheduling patient appointments and tests, answers calls, and liaises between patients and medical staff. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with no weekends.

The ideal candidate will manage referrals, and insurance authorizations, collect co-pays, and maintain scheduling templates while upholding confidentiality and front-office standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years’ experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, scheduling, and/or authorization experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls; assess needs and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new patients, referrals and returning patients in system per guidelines.
• Obtains and enters insurance authorization and referrals in EMR.
• Collects co-pays, deductible, and other out-of-pocket amounts at time of visit.
• Maintains primary scheduling template for physician meetings and satellite schedule.
