Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Scheduler to join our team at Texas Oncology, supporting Weatherford, Granbury, Azle, and Cleburne locations. This full-time role is Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm with no weekends or major holidays.

Under supervision, you will schedule patient appointments and tests, answer calls, and serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff. This role requires medical terminology knowledge and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, scheduling, and/or authorization experience preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new and returning patients and referrals according to physician schedules.
• Obtains insurance authorization and correspondence for referrals in EMR.
• Collects co-pays and other payments at time of visit.
• Maintains scheduling templates for physician meetings and satellite schedules.
• Covers for other front-office functions as requested.
