Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN (0.8 FTE) pre-registers and schedules patients for appointments, procedures, tests and other services in a timely manner. You will answer calls, complete follow-up queues, and provide cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming visits.

You will work with patient care teams to ensure efficient care, accurate data entry into the electronic health record, and excellent customer service while supporting care coordination and scheduling needs.

Qualifications

• Proficient in scheduling multiple service lines within the same market and cross-trained to provide coverage as needed.
• Full pre-registration of all patients scheduling appointments, including updating guarantor information and verifying insurance eligibility.
• Coordinates scheduling of services including ancillary and procedure scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Patient identification, registration, and scheduling with post-visit summaries and cost estimates.
• Full pre-registration of patients calling to schedule appointments and verify insurance.
