University Otolaryngologists is seeking a friendly Patient Registration Specialist to join our team. The primary duty is to greet patients, register them, collect payments, and verify insurance eligibility, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in processes.

The role involves updating patient demographics, scheduling appointments, scanning documents into the EHR, and coordinating referrals. A cooperative, detail-oriented individual will thrive in this fast-paced medical office

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computers and familiarity with EHRs.
• Team player with healthcare setting preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Professionally greet all customers.
• Register all patients (may be for both Ohio ENT and Hearing Health Solutions).
• Update patient demographics at each visit.
• Schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Scan documents into EHR, as needed.
• Collect and post copayments and payments for non-covered items sold.
• Verify referrals are in place for patients.
