University Otolaryngologists in Bethel, CT seeks a Patient Registration Specialist to be the first point of contact, greet patients, register them, collect payments and verify insurance. This position supports our Neuro-Ophthalmology practice at the Bethel Road office with a friendly, organized approach and commitment to patient experience.

Responsibilities include updating demographics, scheduling appointments, scanning documents into EHR, collecting copays, and ensuring referrals are in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs).
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.

• Update patient demographics at every visit.
• Schedule, reschedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Scan documents into the EHR as needed.

• Verify referrals are in place for patients.

We are seeking a friendly and organized Patient Registration Specialist to join our team. This role supports our Neuro-Ophthalmology practice located at our Bethel Road office location. As the first point of contact for our clinic, the Patient Registration Specialist will be responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience. You will be required to greet customers, register patients, and collect payments. In addition, the Patient Registration Specialist will be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and answering incoming calls.

Float Office Locations: Bethel Road | Neuro-Ophthalmology
