Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a patient registration/insurance verification specialist to coordinate registration, verify insurance, and schedule appointments.

You will interview patients by phone and in person, educate on financial responsibilities, and gather necessary demographic and clinical information. The role supports a welcoming patient experience across the outpatient pathway, with a focus on accurate data capture, timing, and collaboration with providers and scheduling

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year customer service experience.
• 1 year healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Computer and typing proficiency required.
• Ability to interact with a diverse patient base.
• Must pass required training within two attempts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling.
• Interview patients by phone and in person to collect demographic, insurance, and clinical data.
• Educate patients about financial responsibilities and collect out-of-pocket fees.
• Verify referring providers' orders and ensure completeness before appointments.
• Scan insurance cards, documents, and forms accurately.
• Obtain signatures for timely reimbursement and patient consent.
• Review daily schedule and resolve potential conflicts with staff and providers.
• Maintain accuracy of registration records.
