Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a detail-focused Registration Specialist in Hellertown to coordinate patient registration, verify insurance, and schedule appointments with accuracy.

You will interview patients by phone and in person, collect demographics and insurance data, educate on financial responsibilities, and help secure timely payments and authorizations in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in customer service or healthcare setting (hospital/physician office).
• Computer and typing proficiency essential.
• Ability to interact with diverse patient populations, including emergencies.
• Must successfully complete required training within two attempts.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling accuracy.
• Interviews patients by phone and in person to collect demographics, insurance, and clinical information for scheduling and financial clearance.
• Educates patients about financial responsibilities and collects out-of-pocket payments.
• Ensures referral orders are complete and match scheduled appointments.
• Obtains new orders prior to tests/treatments when needed.
• Scans insurance cards, IDs, and documents with accuracy.
• Secures signatures for timely reimbursement and service-specific consents.
• Creates patient financial estimates and refers to financial resources as needed.
• Monitors scheduling conflicts and coordinates with staff to resolve them.
• Maintains compliance with registration accuracy.
