Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Registration Specialist responsible for coordinating patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling. You will interview patients by phone and in person to collect demographic and insurance information, ensuring accurate data for appointments and financial clearance.

The role emphasizes a welcoming patient experience, accurate order matching, and compliance with registration standards.

Formación

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Customer service or 1 year in a Healthcare environment.
• Proficient computer and typing skills.
• Ability to interact with a diverse patient base, including emergency scenarios.
• Must complete required training within two attempts or less.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients by phone or in person to collect demographic, insurance, and scheduling information.
• Guide patients through the registration process to create a positive experience.
• Ensure orders are complete and match scheduled appointments; obtain missing orders as needed.
• Scan insurance cards, consent forms, and identification accurately.
• Explain financial responsibilities and assist with estimates and resources.
• Review daily schedules to resolve conflicts and maintain department flow.
• Maintain accurate registration records and compliance.
