Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Palmer Township is seeking an experienced Patient Registration Specialist to coordinate patient interviews, verify insurance, and schedule appointments with accuracy.

You will guide patients through the registration process, educate them on financial responsibilities, and help secure timely payment while maintaining a welcoming, service-oriented experience. This role is onsite with an evening shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1 year Customer service experience.
• 1 year Healthcare environment (hospital or physician office).
• Computer and typing proficiency.
• Able to interact with a diverse customer base.
• Must pass required training in two attempts or less.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic, insurance (referral/authorization), and other information.
• Engages patients through registration to create a welcoming experience.
• Ensures referring providers’ orders are complete and matched to the appointment; obtains a new order if needed.
• Scans insurance cards, scripts, patient IDs, and regulatory forms accurately.
• Secures signatures to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Determines and communicates patient financial liability and refers to financial resources as needed.
• Reviews daily schedule and resolves scheduling conflicts with staff.
• Maintains compliance with registration accuracy.
