Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is hiring for a Patient Registration role at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton. You will coordinate all aspects of patient registration, insurance verification and scheduling, and conduct patient interviews by phone and in person to ensure accurate information and smooth financial clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience or 1 year in a healthcare setting.
• Must pass required training within two attempts or less.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients by phone or in person to collect demographic and insurance information.
• Registers patients and verifies insurance information to ensure accurate scheduling and financial clearance.
• Determines and collects patient financial liability and creates estimates when applicable.
• Refers patients to financial resources for assistance with counseling.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and ensures payor requirements are met.
• Secures signatures for reimbursement and associated consents.
• Reviews daily schedule and coordinates with staff to prevent delays and issues.
